SABLES L.G.
Sables L.G. quarry started its activities in the early ‘60s and comprises sand and gravel-rich deposits supported by a large granitic body (granite gneiss). Located in Quebec’s Low Laurentians area, this production site produces high quality aggregates characterized by excellent mechanics, including outstanding resistance to wear, polish and freezing-thawing. These aggregates do especially well when used for ballast, cement or bituminous concrete works.
In 1969, BAUVAL acquired the quarry which became Sables L.G., a BAUVAL inc. division. Through this acquisition, BAUVAL benefits from a greater availability of resources and supply of natural, crushed, washed and manufactured granular materials of rare quality.
All BAUVAL divisions benefit from a greater ability to serve their clients through Sables L.G.’s products. Besides operating a high-performance plant of bituminous concrete, Sables L.G. recycles reclaimed cement or bituminous concrete.
Located in Saint-Hippolyte, 45 minutes from Montreal, near Saint-Jérôme, Sables L.G.’s site is accessible through highway 15 and routes 117, 158 and 333. Its location is also suitable for other lines of activities and could become a potential area dedicated to sustainable development.
